About
Amy Meng is an Engagement Manager at Luminary Labs. Her background in civic technology consulting and teaching equips her with deep empathy and effective strategies for navigating complex organizations and ecosystems. She is skilled at rapidly building relationships, shepherding teams, and developing programs with an eye toward systems thinking, accessibility, and equity.
Prior to joining Luminary Labs, she was an Associate Director of Delivery/Project Management at Truss, a software consultancy working primarily with the federal government. She has managed projects with government agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the Department of Defense. As a member of Truss’s leadership team, she also established and grew Truss’s project management practice. Prior to her work in tech, she taught creative writing at Rutgers University – New Brunswick.
She holds an MFA in poetry from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Chinese Language and Literature, and Art History from Rutgers University – New Brunswick. Her debut poetry collection, “Bridled,” was published in 2018. She is passionate about language, courageous leadership, and her cat, Birdy. She is fluent in Mandarin.
