New York City
Space Week New York, April 21-25
Logan Cummings will attend Space Week New York, a series of events celebrating the strength and economic potential of New York’s space ecosystem, hosted by Empire Space and the Intrepid Museum. The week includes the New York Space Forum, a full day of expert panels and immersive breakout sessions at the Intrepid on April 24, as well as networking mixers, virtual spotlights, and more.
NYCxDESIGN, May 14-20
NYCxDESIGN is New York City’s official annual celebration of design, drawing more than 163,000 designers, cultural leaders, and global creatives across all five boroughs for a week of exhibitions, installations, talks, trade shows, and open studios. This year’s theme, “Design Connects Us,” anchors a program of more than 200 events. Anna Pierce will be attending events throughout the festival week — reach out to her if you plan to attend as well.
NYC Tech Week, June 1-7
Presented by a16z, NYC Tech Week is a decentralized conference that brings together founders, investors, and tech communities across hundreds of independently organized events, from hackathons to panels to community meetups. DDX Innovation & UX Conference, June 12
DDX is a global conference series focused on UX, product design, digital innovation, and the future of human-technology interaction. The New York edition on June 12 brings together design leaders, product teams, researchers, and founders for a full day of keynotes, panels, workshops, and networking. Winnie Chang will be attending.
Civic Health Forum, June 16
Sara Holoubek is serving on the Host Committee for the inaugural Civic Health Forum. Organized by StartUp Health and hosted at Civic Hall in New York City, the forum brings together investors, AI leaders, payers, providers, government officials, and founders around a single organizing question: How do we keep everyone healthy in the first place? The event is designed to move health innovation beyond sick care toward prevention and population-scale impact.

Moonshots for Metascience and Metascience for Moonshots, April 23
The Federation of American Scientists will convene researchers, policymakers, funders, and practitioners at the intersection of metascience and moonshot-scale innovation — exploring how the science of science can help unlock faster, more effective research and development. Young Futures Block Party, May 13–14
The inaugural Young Futures Block Party is a cultural summit for the youth wellbeing movement, bringing together funders, nonprofit innovators, youth leaders, technologists, and researchers committed to creating the future of wellbeing in a digital world. The event also celebrates the first-ever Young Futures Awards, recognizing rising leaders across storytelling, research, advocacy, and technology. Pillar’s Women’s Health Summit, June 2
Pillar’s Women’s Health Summit will convene an intimate group of CEOs and other sector leaders to advance research, capital, and solutions in women’s health. Sara Holoubek will join this invitation-only gathering in Boston.

Behavioral Health Tech Conference, September 22–24
The Behavioral Health Tech Conference heads to Nashville this fall. The conference convenes health plans, employers, providers, digital health companies, investors, and policymakers to connect and advance behavioral healthcare for all. Following our 2025 collaboration with the conference amplifying Veteran voices, our Mission Daybreak team will be there to share how we’re supporting innovation in Veteran healthcare.

Columbia Global Energy Summit, April 21
Hosted by the Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at SIPA, the Columbia Global Energy Summit convenes policymakers, business leaders, researchers, and investors each year for thought-provoking discussions on the critical energy and climate challenges facing the global community. Susannah Littlewood represented Luminary Labs.
ASU+GVU Summit, April 12-15, 2026
For the second year in a row we joined education leaders and investors in San Diego for panels, workshops, and networking exploring the future of education. Harrison Diskin attended this year, and shared some of his questions and observations leading up to the event.
Health Tech Summit, March 2-3, 2026
Cornell Tech and Weill Cornell Medicine hosted the fourth annual Health Tech Summit. The event brought scientists, entrepreneurs, health system leaders, policymakers, and clinicians together to address how artificial intelligence is reshaping care delivery, clinical workflows, and the business of healthcare. Reflecting on the event, Ben Alsdurf wrote about the uneven AI future in healthcare.
Behavior Health Conference, November 11-13, 2025
Luminary Labs was the proud official Veterans Week partner for the 2025 Behavioral Health Tech Conference. The conference’s opening on Veterans Day provides a moment of national reflection while underscoring the critical importance of investing in mental health and well-being for those who have served. We hosted a panel session to share how we’re supporting innovation in Veteran healthcare through Mission Daybreak, and leading up to the event, we published deep dives into key Veterans and behavioral health topics through the BHT blog.
HLTH 2025, October 18-22, 2025
HLTH, a major annual healthcare and wellness innovation event, will bring together providers, payers, tech companies, and startups in Las Vegas to discuss new technologies and drive transformation in the healthcare ecosystem. At the 2025 conference, Sara Holoubek, Ben Alsdurf, and the Neuromod Prize team will host a special showcase featuring Phase 3 participants, each competing for a share of the $5 million prize pool in this $9.8 million NIH SPARC competition aimed at accelerating targeted neuromodulation therapies that could treat nearly any condition through precise regulation of the nervous system. PopTech is known for fostering robust collaboration and action around emerging technology, science, and creative expression. At the 2025 Enigma conference, attendees tackled the complexity and unpredictability of our current moment through the lens of code-breaking and problem-solving — focusing on AI, robotics, creative expression, human potential, and climate resilience. Jessica Hibbard represented Luminary Labs at this gathering of global innovators.

EdTech Week is a leading global education technology innovation festival that gathers investors, educators, entrepreneurs, and other industry leaders to discuss the future of learning. Our team connected and learned with innovators at the forefront of education innovation.
DERVOS 2025, October 17, 2025
Known as “the Davos of distributed energy resources,” DERVOS 2025 brings energy professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and academics to Governors Island for a distributed energy resource (DER) innovation showcase. Panels and a startup Demo Day are complimented with ample networking opportunities. Greg Remsen represented Luminary Labs at the 2025 conference.
Climate Week NYC, September 21-28, 2025
Climate Week NYC, held in coordination with the UN General Assembly transforms the city into a hub for international climate action each September. The week-long event brings together leaders from business, government, and civil society for panels, showcases, and discussions that inspire ambition, scrutinize commitments, and accelerate the transition to a sustainable future across themes like energy, finance, and policy. Our team was out in force attending events across the city, with particular interest in conversations exploring innovation at the intersections of climate with health, education, and the future of work.
DHNY Summit, September 18, 2025
The Digital Health New York Summit brings together entrepreneurs, investors, providers, payers, and executives for strategic conversations about healthcare innovation. This curated gathering prioritizes meaningful dialogue and impactful networking over traditional conference presentations. Sara Holoubek joined the 2025 summit.
