Will we see you at HLTH?

Join us for conversations about leadership in the age of AI, transformative open innovation programs, and the future of health.

Luminary Labs is heading to HLTH, an annual event focused on health innovation and transformation. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new connections. This year, we’re also contributing to on-stage conversations by organizing two panel discussions.

Elevating humanity in the age of artificial intelligence

Tuesday, October 10, 2023 (8:15-8:45 a.m., Wynn Hotel, by invitation only)

Luminary Labs CEO Sara Holoubek will moderate a networking breakfast discussion with Dr. Sachin Jain from SCAN Group & Health Plan, Dr. David Rhew from Microsoft, and Tina Shah from Abridge as part of HLTH’s Transformative Health Leaders programs.

For many leaders, it can be a confusing time to be in charge. A recent survey and report by Luminary Labs revealed that healthcare executives are prioritizing investments in people, including patients, the workforce, and leadership. And yet, the rise of generative AI begs the question: Which tasks do humans do best –– and which are best left to automation? With so many choices, how can physician leaders best navigate this moment?

Mission Daybreak winner showcase

Tuesday, October 10, 2023 (2:20-3:00 p.m., Startup Stage, Las Vegas Convention Center)

Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced the winners of Mission Daybreak, a $20 million grand challenge to reduce Veteran suicides. Hear directly from the VA leaders behind this program, meet the winning teams, and learn more about the challenge — which was designed and produced by Luminary Labs through a contract with Capital Consulting Corporation.

Suicide is a serious public health problem that affects communities everywhere. While suicide can affect all Americans, it has a disproportionate impact on the Veteran community. This is why the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs launched Mission Daybreak, one of the largest cash prizes in federal history. In this session, attendees will meet the winning teams and learn how our nation’s largest integrated healthcare system provided both funding and non-monetary resources –– including synthetic data, research, mentorship, educational webinars, and partnership opportunities –– to address VA’s top clinical priority and a top priority of the Biden-Harris Administration. Speakers include Dr. Amanda Lienau from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Risa Weisberg from BehaVR, David Black from Even Health, Christopher Molaro from Neuroflow, Sam Dorison from ReflexAI, and Shruti Gurudanti from televëda.

If you’ll also be in Las Vegas, we’d love to see you. We’re particularly interested in connecting with people who have shared areas of interest including Veteran health, digital care delivery, behavioral health, and vaccines. Set up a time to say hello: Email ben.alsdurf@luminary-labs.com.
