Getting to know lower Manhattan, one great spot at a time.
At Luminary Labs, in-person time is intentional. Our New York-based team comes together in the office two days each week — enough to collaborate freely, think out loud, and stay genuinely connected. The rest of the week, we work remotely, with protected heads-down time for focused, productive work.
One of the underrated perks of office days is getting to know FiDi, the Financial District. As the financial capital of the world, Manhattan’s southernmost neighborhood was once known for its tall towers, buttoned-up energy, and an office worker population that clears out at 6 p.m. But that reputation is outdated. In recent years, the area has grown substantially more residential, and with that has come a more vibrant neighborhood. Within minutes from our office near Battery Park, you can find tasty and affordable restaurants, good coffee, interesting bars, and a cultural life that’s easy to miss if you’re just passing through.
We asked our team to share their favorite local spots for this curated list. On any given week, here’s where you might find Luminaries in the wild.
