Emily is Head of Communications, leading Luminary Labs’ digital marketing and communications strategy. Emily is focused on results, and will push every project over the finish line with forward thinking and thoughtful consideration of how each detail will have impact. Working across clients such as Pfizer, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, she excels at crafting communications for diverse audiences—from tech innovators to journalists to lawyers. Emily particularly enjoys driving action around social impact issues like the skills gap, labor trafficking, and chronic disease.
In her past roles at business intelligence firm L2 and digital agency KBSD, Emily gained digital marketing and research expertise, writing industry benchmarking reports and managing social media for retail brands. She also played a pivotal role getting a made-to-measure menswear startup off the ground, managing all e-commerce and digital marketing activities.
A Seattle native, Emily received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, where she also pursued her Pacific Northwesterner love of the outdoors with a minor in Earth and Ocean Sciences. Outside of work, Emily is skiing obsessed, an unashamed board game geek, and always on the lookout for good New York eats.
