We are pleased to announce that Health | Tech | Food, an open innovation event, will take place on Tuesday, February 8 from 9am-12:30 as part of Social Media week NYC. Our goal is to create a space and time to innovate around the core health issues of New York through the lens of social technology. While social technology most frequently addresses the upper half of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, we will explore how these same technologies can also serve greater societal needs, namely, our health. Following short, grounding presentations from renown thought leaders, participants will engage in one of four ideation workshops: open source health, food systems, the quantified self or mobile health. All ideation inputs and outputs will be publicly published so that anyone can adopt and implement the solutions.
