Mapping a Strategy for Growth Through Innovation

Luminary Labs was tasked with creating the framework and roadmap for an Emerging Business Opportunities Center of Excellence, designed to identify, validate, and scale new commercial offerings for the organization.

Once the roles and boundaries of the unit were established, investment themes were identified based on our landscape analysis and curation of megatrends likely to lead to commercial success.  We partnered with the client to align on investment criteria and a portfolio approach which were informed by their core competencies and business needs.

As a final step, we designed a detailed operational structure and launch strategy which included a commercialization pipeline, organizational roles and responsibilities, an innovation toolkit, and a communications plan to manifest the EBO as a fully functioning business unit.
