Mahala is an Analyst who is known for helping her clients apply expansive thinking to problem-solving. She enjoys working on projects that impact the future and is currently helping the Department of Homeland Security explore new ways of applying data science to detect national health threats.
Prior to joining Luminary Labs, Mahala developed brand strategies at Siegel+Gale, where she gained an expertise in research, storytelling, and design thinking. There, she connected unexpected dots for clients such as Wyndham Hotel Group, Hewlett-Packard, American Express and CVS. She also worked in a Zambian field office for an international microfinance organization, and conducted research at Tuck Business School while earning her B.A. in English from Dartmouth College.
A native New Yorker with a love for mountains, and surprising level of skill when given a topographic map and compass, she has traveled to 24 countries and hopes to go to at least 24 more in the next few years.
